Back with the Philharmonia Chorus

I'm really looking forward to tonights concert with the Philharmonia Chorus. We'll be performing Beethoven's 9th symphonie with the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted once again by the brilliant Essa Pekka Salonen. It really is fantastic to be singing in such a high quality chorus, and I was so happy to be able to sing with them once again in my home town last night.
Let's hope tonights concert is just as good if not better than yesterdays.  :-)

Sherfield village hall's Last Night of the Proms

I had a wonderful time yesterday performing at Sherfield village hall alongside some old BAOS friends. The concert went really well, and it was wonderful to join in the festivities afterwards. Thanks to everyone involved in setting up such a successful concert, everyone who came to support me, and to everyone who bought a copy of my CD. I'd also like to send a huge thanks to Tom Monfries for doing such a great job accompanying me, and Mary Monfries for helping out so much and for her recorder playing at such late notice!
I hope to be able to upload a couple of videos soon, so keep an eye out!

Proms celebration

I'm really looking forward to singing in tonights Proms celebration concert at Sherfield village hall. It'll be good fun on such a lovely evening.

Lyon with the philharmonia chorus

I've been thoroughly enjoying our Lyon tour, our second concert went really well this evening, and was streamed live on French TV. It's available to watch on the internet for 60 days, I'll upload the link soon and have a look myself! I'm looking forward to coming home and singing for Sherfield on Loddon's proms concert.

I've been home for a few days now, and have almost finished writing all the reports from last week. I absolutely loved teaching at NCCGB and am now even more looking forward to touring Italy with them later this month! Their concert in Birmingham Conservatoire went wonderfully well and is due to come out on CD soon. Have a look at their website in my 'Links' section for more details.

I'm off to Shrewbury for the National Children's Choir of Great Britain's Summer course today. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting the newer staff, as well as being a singing teacher and pastoral carer!
